About our Center

The South Fremont Senior center a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization.   The center was created in 1973 with the support of our community to serve the nutritional and social needs of our local seniors who are 60 years and older.

Our Center services a large rural area of Southern Fremont County, which consists of Saint Anthony, Parker, Egin, Chester, Wilford, the City of Teton, and the City of Newdale.  We provide such services as; nutritious congregate and home delivery meals, transportation, socialization, nutrition education, health information and consumer awareness, on-site events, special outings, volunteer programs and fellowship.

We also offer resources to seniors through the Area Office on Aging in Idaho Falls, EICAP, In information and assistance, homemaker & chore services, legal assistance, respite care, commodity supplement food program, senior Medicare patrol, ombudsman, adult protection services, Alzheimer’s supportive services and much more!

The building that houses the senior center is owned by the City of Saint Anthony.  We are operated under the direction of a nine-member Board of Directors consisting of a mixture of senior center members and business representatives from within our community, who strictly serve as volunteers in their positions.  We have a paid staff of 6 part time employees and numerous volunteers who run the day to day operations of the Center.
